Dukai’s art is rooted in geometric traditions, the philosophy of Constructivism, Op Art, and the creative concepts of Minimal Art.

His practice combines multiple activities simultaneously: from the collection of materials (handwoven linen canvases, metal sheets, natural tanning plants), through the digitally designed motifs, to the diverse processes of traditional coloring—each work passes through these stages before reaching its final form.

With the monochrome, non-referential pictorial objects of the TANGRAM series, Dukai directs the viewer’s attention to the uniqueness of textures, the diversity of materials within a single work, and the playful system of forms, while with his latest series he establishes a worthy continuation of Hungarian Constructivism.
